Barney Barrow is a young, fresh, up and coming DJ on the global electronic dance music scene. He started his career with 6:AM Entertainment, Kenya’s premier event organizing agency in 2004. He is currently one of Kenya’s finest Djs.

"Deeper Sounds of Nairobi" is a monthly radio show recorded and produced in the beautiful city of Nairobi,Kenya. This show is committed to showcasing musical talent coming out of Africa in the House. Last month's releases of "Deep End Vol. 6" and "Deeper Sounds Of Nairobi" have received some of the highest plays and downloads we've seen yet.Thanks for the support guys,very glad you enjoy the music as selected and compiled.Links to each of these can be found below. Of special mention is that "Deeper Sounds Of Nairobi" has been picked up by an online radio show based in South Africa.Details of show times can be found on the facebook page. Allan Munene (DJ UV) has always had an ear for electronic dance music having been introduced to it by the elder brother at an early age listening to the likes of Sasha, Judge Jules, Kerry Chandler, Robert Miles... however with time he went deeper into electronic music and discovered progressive House which has become his first love ever since.He got interested in djing and learnt the tricks quickly from his mentors at the time: Drazen and Kenroots all Kenyan djs,he then joined one of kenya's most celebrated djing outfits 6:AM early 2008 and left aftertwo months,it is then that he teamed up with Vinsky David and Vapour to form one of the strongest dj outfits in Kenya- Turbofunk Djs.In 2009,his talent was discovered and was given a slot as a guest dj the radio show- Styles in Session-Croatia by StyleAngel,in March 2010 he teamed up with celebrated Kenyan disc Jockey,Dj Protege and they now host the ONLY Electronic Dance Music Show in Kenya on 98.4 Capital Fm(http://capitalfm.co.ke/) playing the best in progressive house and progressive trance every Friday.In June 2010 that he joined Dance Radio Global and now has a monthly Radio show every 3rd wednesday of the month- RADIO ACTIVE SESSIONS with DJ UV 1400hrs-1600hrs(local time).Keep your ears close to the ground as plans to delve into the world of production very soon ;-)

FOOZAK & FRANKIE B

FoOz and Franki B are 2 kenyan based Dj's who share one passion that define their lives: Electronic Dance Music. The duo formed back in 2009 recording their first mix tape together dubbed “A December in Diani”. The mix tape was a memoir of their true love for the sweet melodic sound of progressive house music. It was a hit amongst the Kenyan ravers at the time and was critically acclaimed by some of the best Kenyan Dj's. Foozak and Franki B finally decided to join forces as a duo in 2011 and went back to Diani to play their first gig as a 6am duo at ULTRAVIOLET 2011. Leaving nothing short of a smiling crowd, this young duo is definitely a talent to look out for as they are also venturing into production by teaming up with upcoming producer Aquila (Meats). Look out for crunchy edits and remixes exclusively for their live sets.
